- A herniated disc refers to a problem with one of the rubber pads (discs) that sit between individual bones (vertebrae) that pile up to form your spine.
An intervertebral disc has a soft, gelatinous center (core) that is surrounded by a harder, rubber-like exterior (ring). Sometimes called a herniated disc or a herniated disc, a herniated disc occurs when part of the nucleus pushes through a tear in the ring. Slipped disk treatment in Nizamabad
Most herniated discs occur in the lower back, although they can also occur in the neck. The signs and symptoms depend on the position of the disc and whether the disc is pressing on a nerve. They usually affect one side of the body.
Pain in your arm or leg. If your herniated disc is in your lower back, you will usually feel most of the pain in your buttocks, thighs, and calves. You might also feel pain in part of your foot. A herniated disc is most often the result of the wear and tear associated with aging and is known as disc degeneration. As you age, your discs become less flexible and have a tendency to crack or break even with slight stress or twist.
Most people cannot identify the cause of their herniated disc. Sometimes using the back muscles instead of the leg and thigh muscles to lift heavy objects can lead to a herniated disc, as can twisting and twisting while lifting. Exercise. Strengthening the core muscles stabilizes and supports the spine.
Maintain good posture. This reduces the pressure on the spine and intervertebral discs. Keep your back straight and aligned, especially if you sit for long periods of time. Lift heavy objects properly, making sure that your legs – not your back – do most of the work.
