Thyroid nodules are firm or fluid-filled bumps that form in your thyroid, a small gland that is at the base of your neck, just above your sternum.
- Most thyroid nodules are not severe and do not cause symptoms. Only a small percentage of thyroid nodules are cancerous.
- Often times, you won’t know you have a thyroid nodule until your doctor finds it out during a routine exam. Or your doctor may find out during a test done for a different health reason. However, some thyroid nodules can grow large enough to be visible or make it difficult to swallow or breathe.Thyroid nodules Treatment in Nizamabad

Several conditions can cause nodules to develop in your thyroid, including:
- Overgrowth of normal thyroid tissue. An overgrowth of normal thyroid tissue is sometimes called a thyroid adenoma. It is not known why this occurs, but it is not cancerous and is not considered to be serious unless it is causing bothersome symptoms due to its size. Thyroid nodules Treatment in Nizamabad
Some thyroid adenomas lead to hyperthyroidism.
Thyroid cyst. Fluid-filled cavities (cysts) in the thyroid are mostly the result of degenerative thyroid adenomas. Often solids are mixed with liquid in thyroid cysts. Cysts are usually not cancerous, but sometimes they contain solid cancerous components.
Chronic inflammation of the thyroid gland. Hashimoto’s disease, a thyroid disorder, can cause inflammation of the thyroid gland and lead to enlarged nodules. This is often associated with an underactive thyroid.
Multinodular goiter. The term goiter is used to describe any enlarged thyroid that may be caused by iodine deficiency or a thyroid disorder. A multinodular goiter contains several different nodules in the goiter, but its cause is less clear. Thyroid nodules Treatment in Nizamabad
